Last night, at my new dormitory (yeah, I just moved), I was asked by a dormie mate to gather at the 2nd floor. He asked everyone who owns motorbike or car to discuss about a simple thing. Well, it’s quiet simple for me. The chief of the society ask everyone who has motorbike to pay 20 thousands and everyone who has car to pay 50 thousands. The money will be used to pay the asphalt (hot mix) which has just lately been layered. Some people gathered and discussed very seriously about the possibility that probably the chief only wants to earn money. They talked about this and that for around probably two hours. For me it’s nonsense. To pay or not to pay is individual decision. It’s simple. No need to be made complicated.
It’s something what I learned in life. Sometimes we really need to discuss something.. but to discuss something simple is just wasting time and energy.. especially when it takes lots of time (two hours!). Well, in my mind at the time, we still don’t know whether the money is really needed to pay the asphalt or not. Choosing the first option has equal probability with the second one, hence don’t be sure about one option too much and start creating another scenario.
